That, son, is a grown-ass nutria rat. Look at the freakin’ TAIL for chrissakes… not that you have any business feeding french fries to a beaver either. via the Houstonist.
Thanks for the picture, we found 3 nutria in a pond behind our house and I was afraid of them but they seem harmless enough after looking at your picture!
Thanks Jenny. They still creep me out, though some people seem to like them and even keep them as pets (Exhibit A: “Baby” the nutria rat).
